EXCURSIONS ON TWO WHEELS
The mountains of Friuli Venezia Giulia, are ideal terrain for road and mountain biking.
Cyclists are truly well catered for among the mountains and valleys of the Tarvisio area: the territory boasts a wide choice of routes for sportsmen of all levels, from amateur to expert.
Road bike enthusiasts can count on the proverbial hospitality of accommodations and specialized assistance, extending their pedaling to neighboring Austria and Slovenia in the spirit of a "stage without borders."
The Alpe Adria Ciclovia, a reconversion of the decommissioned Coccau-Gemona del Friuli railway line, is the highlight of the area's summer tourism offerings. In fact, it allows the entire region to be crossed from north to south as far as Grado, connecting in Austria to the Drava (Drauweg) bicycle route and Slovenia to the Ciclovia surrounding the Triglav National Park.

                ROAD ROUTES
There are eight loop routes on paved roads straddling
between Tarvisio, Carinthia and Slovenia offered
to road bike enthusiasts.
These also include the two routes that
were part of the stages of the Giro d'Italia
during the 96th edition, as well as
the Tarvisio-Monte Lussari route that will constitute
the penultimate stage of the 106th edition of the Giro.
