Artegna, founded on the hill of San Martino, is a town located in the north of the province of Udine, at the foot of a mountain range where two important mountains rise: the Quarnan to the north and the Faet to the east. Among the most interesting sights are the small church of S. Martino dating back to the 16th century, the hill of S. Martino, a monumental complex of which the parish church and the Savorgnan castle are also part, and finally the small church of Santo Stefano in Clama, which stands at the foot of Mount Faet. Typical of the town is the norcino festival, one of the oldest Friulian traditions in the region.
